	larger image		For distillation of strong alkalis or acids and for aggressive solvents. Can also be used for the distillation of pure liquids which should not come into contact with glass. An important advantage of this apparatus is the transparent reaction vessel with a large opening and a very smooth interior surface. Reactions, such as vaporization, boiling or bubbling, as well as the filling height, are visible in this reaction vessel. This apparatus can be heated by a heated bath, by an electric heating jacket, or on a hotplate, but should not exceed a temperature of 200°C in the reaction vessel. Stirring with a PTFE-coated magnetic stirring bar is possible when the flat bottom of this transparent reaction vessel is heated on a hotplate. The medium is exposed only to PFA fluoropolymer. PFA is resistant to virtually all chemicals and can be used at temperatures from -200°C to +260°C.
